Who We Are
Let me introduce myself. My name is Sue
Morris and I am the proprietor of the shop on the Main street in Llandudno. We are
open seven days a week from 10.30 till 4.30. all year around
(longer in Summer) We also have four lovely assistants - Nickie,
a true girl Friday - well Friday, Sunday and Monday to be
precise! Bryan, charming, helpful and handsome, he is
here most days. Georgia, smart and knowledgeable and Terry,
a whirlwind of enthusiasm.
The shop sells some locally made Aromatherapy Products,
Soaps, Jewellery, Lovespoons, Wicca and gift products as well as
internationally sourced interesting and unusual items. We
have a large range of silver & gemstone jewellery and an
extensive Wicca/pagan department. We are well known for
being different!!! Please click on the links on the left for
a list of what we have.... don't worry, we wont make you
buy anything. Items are added daily.
Established Summer 2003
Because of the high cost of rent and rates in Llandudno town
centre, the Merrymoon shop was originally three market stall
businesses shacked up together to share costs. There was
an Aromatherapy and Natural Health Department, a Jewellery
Department and a Cosmetics department.
Within a year the Cosmetics department moved onto pastures
new and a partnership was formed between the Natural Health
and Jewellery departments. Both partners being qualified
holistic therapists, we soon were known for knowing what we
were talking about. Other products were added to link the
two main departments together for example, gemstone
jewellery, gemstones and tumble stones were added. Esoteric
gifts, for example, singing bowls, incense and exotic
holders.
We soon also had the reputation for being a little different
to anything else in the town and people started shopping
with us when they wanted something out of the ordinary. We
were more than happy to oblige and we still spend many days
and travel many miles seeking out new and interesting items
for the shop. A year later my remaining business
partner decided to retire and I bought out his share.
In December 2007 we outgrew our little shop and moved into
bright, new and much bigger premises across the road on the
corner.
We now have many regular customers (most of whom are now
friends) from all over Britain and Ireland, people who call
and say Hello whenever they are in the town and people who
phone or e-mail us to send them their favourite items out by
post.
The future? Who knows...any ideas?
